iPhone voicemail button
I could not recall my Cingular voicemail phone number to call voice mail from my iPhone and neither the voicemail button nor the "hold the 1 button" was working.
Well coincidentally (or not... these days nothing seems to be coincidental) I just happened to be curious what I got when I dialed my own number and ran across something nice:
Whodathunkit... I can just dial my own 10 digit cell number from my phone and it now goes straight to my VM. No passwords or anything.
That seems to open a few doors that I wish were closed. I should not need to explain further. Therein lies my iPhone wish of the day.

If you want to set up your voicemail button correctly - i would suggest using the following instructions:
1. You need to first get your carrier's voicemail number (in my case i'm with Vodafone in the UK so it is 121).
2. Click on your iPhone's phone button.
3. Then click on the Keypad tab.
4. You need to then dial the following number: *5005*86*xxx#. Here xxx would be your voicemail number (in my case i dialled: *5005*86*121#).
5. After entering the code you press the call button.
6. This results in your voicemail number being programmed into your voicemail button!
7. Thats all, tap now on the voicemail button and it should automatically call your voicemail service.
